Sara + Jason

Sara and Jason’s custom wedding invitation was drawn in the style of French Toile de Jouy, for the purpose of matching the elegance of the Kentucky country club venue with the elements of the couple’s home, Seattle, WA. Personal elements can be found throughout the illustrations – S+J carved in a tree trunk, Mt. Raineer, the Seattle skyline, state flowers of Washington and Kentucky, Jason’s favorite golf course, and the hardest to spot, the artist’s initials.

As Sara’s cousin, it was a pleasure to explore weaving in personal elements of the couple’s lives, while learning a new drawing style.
